The Lost Expedition [Descripcion Information]

Oh My own Board, that's fancy  8)

Well, jokes aside...  :D

Welcome to The Lost Expedition, a mod (project), to make an unique new dungeon, with his own unique enemies.

About the Dungeon itself: 2 to 3 floors + a boss room. The first floor is going to be a path to introduce the player to the new enemies in the dungeon, the next floors are going to be the challengings ones and chunk based.

The Dungeon will use the in game tilesets. First floor/path, will be themed like the frosted hills, the second floor will be an ice cave, and the last floor and boss room will be catacombs.

About the enemies: The dungeon will be inhabited with a new class of monster, the nerubian, his models are imported from WoW, there will be 3 types of nerubians (Worker, Warrior and Caster) + 2 Bosses.
Every enemy will have a set of new skills, that will make the battles (hopefully) less mindless.

And lastly a bit of Lore:

After the defeat of the netherlord, the earth trembles with the energy liberated in the clockwork core.
 In some cold mountains near a vanquisher's expedition, a mysterious cave now appears
and the once slept terrors within, now rises...

Sounds gooood Anarch!

So (based on the lore) this dungeon will only be available after you've beaten the Netherlord? Not a complaint - I think it's cool 8)

And will the monsters come with their original animations too? :P

Yeah, actually this will be a map for the Mapworks, I'll try to balance it around lvl 55-60, and then just upscale it to lvl 105.  8)

The nerubians come with their original animations, and they look really good in game, the only issue is that they don't have a lot of sounds to play, so I used some from the spiders.

I can help you with the sounds if you'd like unique ones :)

I also just saw your post about monster design and that you are planning this dungeon to be more suitable for cooperative play-through...

What are your thoughts on dungeon loot? If the difficulty is as high as it sounds, it seems to me it will have to have very attractive loot at the end!

Some of us were also talking about how our mods should kind of support one another, so I just want to point out the loot overhaul mod which @RnF is working on. If you need improved loot for your mod, maybe RnF can factor that into his mod :P

Also I'm so glad you considered this mod to be for cooperative-play, because some of us think that promoting more multiplayer is something that our mods should try to do :)

Well, since I want to make the mod compatible with everything I don't really plan to really mess with the loot in other way than to have more chance to find uniques, legendaries, and socketables.

What I really wanted to make was an special enchanter that will spawn on the dungeon, that will enchant the weapons and shields with augmentations affixes, but I really haven't thinked a lot about the rewards of the dungeon... or maybe I don't intent for people to beat it lol :D

Ah... And about the sounds, that would be really cool, just let me get my ideas togheter to be able to make sense in what I need and what I want lol

Yes the new models are working perfect  :D
 I'm just stuck with the skills right now, since my free time is limited and learning how to make all the skills and affixes is gonna take me some time, I have left it in hold on for the moment. I should start making progress next month, when the summer vacation starts.
