Static Stats

Overview

Static stats are built in game variables that can be read. Examples in vanilla Torchlight II include HP bars, statistics in the Arcane Journal, and charge bars, and most skills that act upon the charge bar value. Static stats cannot be modified directly by the user via the Add Stat/Clear Stat/Remove Stat effects (unlike Dynamic Stats), though specific effects like Set Charge Percent will affect the Player Charge Percent static stat. All static stats are accessible in the UI

Accessing Static Stats via Statwatchers

In order to watch static stats in Statwatchers in the skills and triggerables editors, they need to be declared in the Stats editor. The important entries are Name and Type. The name has to be set to the name of the internal string (see list below), and the the type has to be PREDEFINED_X, with X as the corresponding stat type. You can open Data Editors→Stats and look at the media/stats/hp.dat entry as an example.
