Title: Ultimate Pet Mod: Variant Pets or Pet Expansion mod? :P

Variant custom classes has been fruitful already, native classes has Skills Expansion on the works, what's missing now, is for the PETS!

Here's the thing, there's a request for a merge of HackNSlash Pets and Monster Hero Pets. I though it was a simple work but turns out to be too complicated, sadly I cannot fulfill it...but instead, it motivates me to continue on working at the original plan to make an ultimate pet mod!

My proposal is, I'll incorporate those two mods to this planned pet expansion mod, there's also a request for a remod of pet shop, so I'll incorporate that system too. By this way, I'll hit 3 birds in 1 stone. But the projects completion would take weeks or months (depending on my availability of course), although I'm sure I will work on it until its published.

The pet expansion mod will be created on my own vision of the pets, so expect it to be unique on its own way.

Here's my draft of what to expect:
I think this project will be my ultimate contribution to the community. I think it will serve as an essential piece on why TL2 is above other dungeon crawling genre and why TL2 pet system is a game changer.

Anyone who's interested are free to join me on this quest, my head has already some of the technicalities worked out, so it's not going to be an impossibility that's for sure! :D

Interesting. You're really on a modding spree lately.  :D

Maybe we could also make an option of the Wild Pets, with vanilla stats and no skills, since some people dislike having an OP pets.

How about we remove the availability of fish-able perma wild pets and instead make them perma with generic stats but can only be obtained by transmuting a X number of short/long type wild pet...the option to have fish-able short and long wild pets should be enough anyways for skilled ones.

So, the idea would be, if you want a perma wild pet look, you need to gather tons of fishes of its long/short alternatives and transmute it to a new fish.

Keep in mind that, the new pet system will make the custom fishes to all rare. Short types and Long types would have an equal amount of chance to be fished, the idea is to make the players use them practically instead of just stocking them, players can have 4 pets on which they can decide on which to be used as a weapon or which to be used as possession.

Possession by means, perma look with skills and special stats as you mentioned. This now will be possible, even for champs and bosses, right? So, a perma wild pet would need extra effort to get, thus will add longevity to use the fishing function because they have to gather tons of fishes to get their fave wild pet (with not skills and special stats of course).
